Today, I have the pleasure of sharing a wonderful experience alongside Carmen Macías, a psychiatrist by profession, an avid traveller, and someone who radiates wisdom and charm.
Our adventure begins at the Castle of Púbol, a place filled with history and emotion, where Salvador Dalí immortalized his love for Gala. Walking through its halls and gardens feels like stepping into a living masterpiece, and with Carmen by my side, every detail takes on even more meaning.
The next stop is the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, a true gem that transports you to the surreal universe of the genius himself. Dalí is, without a doubt, an extraordinary artist; discovering his works feels like traveling through time and stepping into his mind. Carmen and I are constantly amazed as we explore every corner.
We pause for lunch at Txots restaurant, located right in front of the museum. Here, we enjoy a delicious meal and the finest fresh juices. This place deserves a special mention: it’s the perfect stop to recharge!
During our journey, I take a series of photos of Carmen. Some of them seem like illustrations straight out of a Dalí painting; each image captures not only her essence but also the special connection we’ve shared from the very beginning.
Carmen, always thoughtful and generous, takes the opportunity to shop for her loved ones. It’s a gesture that defines her: someone who carries love and gratitude wherever she goes.
We decide not to continue to Cadaqués and Portlligat. Instead, we choose to savor everything we’ve experienced so far, giving each moment the space it deserves in our memories.
On the way back to Barcelona, as I drive, Carmen sits comfortably beside me. We spend the journey talking endlessly, connecting our experiences in the scientific, spiritual, and emotional worlds. It’s incredible how this trip has allowed us to get to know each other so deeply.
Upon arriving at her hotel, I have the pleasure of meeting the group traveling with Carmen. They are incredible people, each with a special energy that complements this experience perfectly
This journey marks the beginning of a story that I am sure will continue to grow over time. Carmen is no longer just a travel companion; she is now a friend with whom I feel deeply connected.
Thank you, Carmen, for everything, for being, and for sharing this experience. Thanks also to Ana Alicia for your energy and love.
With all my love,
Bela
